about

To the tune of the classic hymn 'Praise Him, Praise Him, Jesus the Blessed Redeemer'. It's a really jaunty hymn and makes me want to swing my elbows around like some sort of musical sailor.

On the day of my grandma's funeral I sung the tune to a vicar to ask him what hymn it was (cos I couldn't remember) and it was generally agreed that I did so with too much energy for so sombre a day.

An early draft of the lyrics had 'cowkin, cow thing' instead of 'cowkin cowskin' but I changed it because I didn't want it to seem like I was using 'thing' as a gender description.
